17. Drop-In Projects vs. Studio Time: What’s the Difference?
Share
If you’re looking to get creative in our studio, here are two great ways to get involved at our studio: Drop-In Projects and Studio Hours. While both take place in our creative space, they’re designed for very different experiences.
Drop-In Projects
Our Drop-In Projects are completely beginner-friendly and open to all ages. They’re available anytime during our open hours, year-round, with no need to call or book ahead.
Drop-ins are designed to be flexible and easy. You can arrive when it works for you, choose a project, and get started with guidance from our team. We can seat up to 14 artists in our front studio, with additional space available in the back studio when needed.
Drop-in projects are a great option for:
- Birthday parties
- Creative gatherings with friends or family
- Casual visits without the commitment of a scheduled class
- Groups looking for flexibility in timing and size
Because drop-ins don’t require booking a private event, they’re an easy and stress-free way to enjoy the studio on your own schedule.
Current Drop-In Projects Include:

Studio Hours
Studio Hours are designed for artists who already have experience and want independent access to our studio space and tools. This option is best suited for those continuing their practice, working on personal projects, or building on skills learned in one of our stained glass classes.
While drop-in projects focus on walk in, beginner-friendly experiences, studio hours support self-directed work in a shared studio environment.
Which Option is right for you?
If you’re new to glass, visiting with kids, or looking for a fun and flexible creative experience, Drop-In Projects are the perfect place to start. If you’re ready to work independently and continue developing your skills after taking a stained glass workshop, Studio Hours may be the better fit.
No matter where you are in your creative journey, we’re here to help you choose the option that fits your needs. If you have any questions, contact us for more information.
