1. Retail & Inventory Associate
Positions Available: 0
Position Type: Part time
Job Description:
Lucent Glass is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Retail & Inventory Associate to support our growing stained glass studio and retail store. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping customers while keeping things organized behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in-store with friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Answer questions about products, tools, and workshops.
- Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming inventory shipments.
- Keep shelves stocked, products labeled, and displays tidy and appealing.
- Track inventory levels and help with reordering supplies when needed.
- Open and closing the store
- Cash Balancing
- Package customer orders safely for pick-up or shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized retail space and back storage area.
- Assist with workshop setup, cleanup, and material prep if needed.

Provide general support for other retail and studio tasks as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable lifting and moving boxes
- Has basic retail, inventory, or shipping experience
- Interested in stained glass, art supplies, and learning new skills.
- Reliable and flexible, with availability for weekends and/or evenings
- Holds a valid Smart Serve certification (issued within the past five years).
- Shopify POS experience an asset

2. Workshop Instructor — Stained Glass and/or Fused Glass
Position Available: 1
Position Type: Part-time / As needed
About the Role:
As a Workshop Instructor at Lucent Glass, you’ll share your skills and passion for stained glass, fused glass, or related techniques with our community of learners. You’ll lead small group workshops for beginners and hobbyists, ensuring each participant has a safe, inspiring, and enjoyable experience in our studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach beginner glass art workshops
- Prepare workshop materials and setup before each class.
- Demonstrate techniques clearly and guide participants step-by-step.
- Provide individual support and troubleshooting during workshops.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming studio environment.
- Encourage creativity and build community among participants.
- Occasionally assist with custom workshops, private bookings, or special events.
Ideal Candidate
- Has at least 6 months of hands-on experience creating beginner-level stained glass projects.
- Available to work weekdays, weekends and flexible shifts as needed. Particularly Sundays, Tuesday evenings and Wednesday evenings.
- Comfortable leading up to 12 participants through a complete project, managing time effectively.
- Confident speaking in front of a group and able to project your voice clearly.
- Holds a valid Smart Serve certification (issued within the past five years).
- Dependable and punctual — you may be the sole instructor responsible for the class.
- Can instruct our beginner participants with kindness, patience, and encouragement.

3. Events Coordinator and Social Media

Lucent Glass is looking for a creative and organized Events Coordinator and Social Media to support our growing studio and retail space. This role combines retail and customer service with planning, promoting, and delivering memorable glass art workshops and community events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, professional retail and customer service.
- Plan and schedule workshops on a quarterly basis.
- Create detailed workshop listings with clear times and dates.
- Keep the workshop calendar accurate and up to date.
- Post engaging workshop listings on Facebook, including photos, dates, and times.
- Design marketing images and graphics for social media promotion.
- Organize and book vendor market dates to expand our community reach.
- Organize and execute an annual Community Project
- Ensure an above-and-beyond experience for every customer and workshop participant.
- Create and maintain updated marketing materials for all workshops and markets.
- Develop and send email marketing campaigns to promote workshops and events.
- Write blog posts and manage social media content to build community and share what’s happening at Lucent Glass.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with Shopify for managing products, events, or content.
- Strong creative writing skills for crafting engaging posts, emails, and blog content.
- Experience creating reels and sharing across platforms
- Has experience in glass art (stained glass or fused glass) and is eager to keep learning.
- Confident using Canva or similar design tools to create branded graphics.
- Understands brand representation and helps build and strengthen our presence online and in the community.
- Community-focused and proactive in finding local events, markets, and partnerships for Lucent Glass to join.

4. Shipping & Handling Associate

Job Description
Lucent Glass is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Handling Associate to join our stained glass studio and retail team. This role focuses on packaging and shipping customer orders with care and accuracy, ensuring that every item arrives safely and on time.
The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, works efficiently in a small team environment, and enjoys helping keep the studio organized and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely pack and prepare stained glass, supplies, and artwork for shipping.
- Measure, weigh, and label packages for courier and postal services.
- Process shipments using online tools and maintain accurate shipping records.
- Inspect glass and materials before packaging to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Communicate with customers and the team regarding order status or special requests.
- Organize outgoing and incoming shipments to maintain clear workflow in the stock area.
- Assist with restocking shelves and managing inventory.
- Maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
- Work in the retail area and customer service
The Ideal Candidate
- Reliable and flexible, with availability for weekdays, weekends and/or evenings
- Able to work alone and/or independently in a fast pace environment
- Able to switch in between tasks to serve customers
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Physically able to lift and move boxes up to 35lb
- Familiar with or willing to learn shipping platforms and label printing (Canada Post, UPS, etc.).
- Holds a valid Smart Serve certification (issued within the past five years).
