Sip & Solder – Beginner Friendly
Perfect for complete beginners, this is a leisure-focused workshop where you can create a sun catcher with a few friends while enjoying a drink included with your ticket. All glass pieces are pre-cut, and participants can choose from a wide variety of colors. It’s a laid-back introduction to stained glass, giving you a feel for the process in just one evening.
Crash Course – One-Day Introduction
Get familiar with the stained glass process in a single day. Participants learn how to cut glass, use the grinder, apply foil, and solder their piece. This course is ideal for complete beginners who are:
- Visiting from out of town
- Friends with busy schedules who want a creative day together
- Anyone interested in making small sun catchers without committing to a multi-day course
Stained Glass 101 – Two-Day Beginner Course
This comprehensive two-day course covers everything from glass cutting and grinding to foiling and soldering. This course is designed for complete beginners and no previous experience is necessary. Participants create their own sun catcher from start to finish using preset patterns, gaining all the skills needed to successfully complete stained glass projects on their own.
Window Builders – In-Depth Project-Based Learning
Our most comprehensive course offered on Mondays, Wednesdays or Saturdays. Previous experience is an asset, however, the Window Builders course is designed for complete beginners with no previous experience. Anyone who wants to learn how to build stained glass windows can attend. This multi-day course covers:
- Project planning
- Choosing and optimizing glass materials
- Cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, and framing
Participants select from our pattern options and are guided step-by-step at a pace that builds long-term skills. By the end of the course, students are prepared to tackle more complex stained glass projects independently.
Lead Came Window Building Workshop - Intermediate Learning
Our Lead Came Window Building Workshop focuses on the traditional method of constructing stained glass windows using lead came. This hands-on class is ideal for students looking to expand their skills beyond copper foil and learn the structure, tools, and techniques behind classic leaded windows.
What you’ll learn:
- Introduction to lead came materials and profiles
- Essential tools and terminology for lead came construction
- How to assemble and build a lead came window
Important details:
- Previous glass cutting experience is required
- Instruction focuses on using lead came (glass cutting is not covered)
- Offered only twice a year
